Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office for questioning in relation to the Panama Papers case. The actress was summoned by the agency after her name had appeared in a case related to the 2016 Panama Papers tax leaks case.

It was earlier said that Aishwarya Rai had sought for another date but now reports say that she has arrived at the ED office. While Aishwarya had opted for adjournment earlier when her name had popped in the case but now she has appeared before the ED office in Delhi. Also, another name appearing in the case was Aishwarya’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.

As per the latest report by PTI, officials revealed to the portal, “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appears before ED in Delhi for questioning in ‘Panama Papers’ FEMA case: Officials.”

Meanwhile, the Panama Papers FEMA case had unveiled how the world’s wealthy personalities who have used offshore accounts to stash their wealth. These are said to be 11.9 million leaked documents that exposed the secret offshore accounts of 35 world leaders. The Panama Papers had details of 214,488 offshore entities from around and over 200 different nations. The files were leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). As per reports, the leaked papers were originally obtained by the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung. It is also said that 12,000 of these fresh documents are linked to Indians which includes celebrities and businessmen.
