Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is celebrating her 49th birthday today (November 1). As she turns a year older, social media is flooded with birthday wishes from her fans, followers, colleagues and friends. Aishwarya’s actor husband Abhishek Bachchan has a special birthday wish for the diva. He dropped a black and white picture of his wife and oh boy, the Ponniyin Selvan actress looked mesmerising in it. She could be seen in a saree and checkered blouse and posed with flowers in her hand.

The pretty still of the actress is from her debut Tamil film Iruvar. For the unversed, Aishwarya made her acting debut in 1997 with this Mani Ratnam’s film where she played a double role. Sharing the pic of Aishwarya, Abhishek wrote, “Happy Birthday, wifey! Love, light, peace and eternal success.”

She was recently seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I where she was seen as Queen Nandini. She was very much raved for her terrific performance. While Abhishek will be seen in Breathe: Into The Shadows season 2, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 9.
