Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shares Ponniyin Selvan 2 teaser, announces release date a day later

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared two posts announcing the release date of her upcoming movie, Ponniyin Selvan 2, on her Instagram. She even shared the Ponniyin Selvan 2 teaser. The actress shared the update on her movie Ponniyin Selvan 2, a day after the makers made the announcement.

The Ponniyin Selvan 1 actress shared the new poster of the sequel, with the release date. She shared the post and wrote, “The weight of the Chola Crown demands the strongest of heads!” Aishwarya added the hashtags ‘Mani Ratnam’, ‘A R Rahman’, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, ‘PS2’ and many others in the caption of the post.

Taking to her Instagram, Aishwarya also shared the teaser of Ponniyin Selvan 2 and said the ‘Cholas Are Back’. Sharing the teaser video, Bachchan wrote, “Awaiting the 28th of April 2023.”

The teaser video features Vikram seated on the throne. It shows Aishwarya making a royal appearance as the queen. She looks beyond beautiful as she looks at her herself in the mirror.

Aishwarya’s fans expressed their excitement over the release of Ponniyin Selvan 2. 

Speaking of Ponniyin Selvan, the first instalment of the Mani Ratnam directorial was released this year. It was released theatrically on September 30. In months after the release of part 1, the Ponniyin Selvan makers announced the release date of Part 2.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 featured Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Rahman, R. Parthiban and Lal.
