Looks like the road is not smooth for Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’. After the action crime thriller got delayed from its original date of January 26, possibly owing to the fact that biggies like ‘PadMan’ and ‘Padmaavat’ were hitting the screens that day, now there is a news that the movie, which was to release on February 9, may get delayed even further.
The reason for the same is the Defence ministry, who have demanded a screening of the movie before it hits the theatres for the general audience. (Also Read: Aiyaary: ‘Shuru Kar’ track featuring Sidharth and Rakul is as youthful as it can get)
One of the producers of the movie, Jayantilal Gada, admitted the possibility of the same, revealing that the movie may in all possibility be shifted to February 16. He quoted to Mid-Day, “There’s a strong chance that Aiyaary will be postponed to February 16. The team will submit the film to the CBFC only after making the recommended changes. The overseas delivery of the film looks difficult, considering we won’t have the censor certificate in time. That will, in turn, affect the India release.”

In reference to the reviewing of the movie by the Ministry of Defence, he added, “There were a few modifications, which we are incorporating.”
We really hope that the movie finally hits the theatres on February 16 now. Let’s wait for an official confirmation on the release date, though.
