Singham 3: Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty to release cop drama on Independence Day 2023?

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s directorial Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Katrina Kaif, and Ranveer Singh was released in theatres on November 5. The film has been riding high on positive reviews since then. As Sooryavanshi is ruling the box office with a bumper opening on Diwali weekend, reports suggest that Rohit Shetty is all set to revisit the film from where it all began. According to the latest reports, Singham 3 is on the cards. A report mentioned that Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are planning to release Singham 3 during the Independence Day 2023 weekend.

According to a report in Pinkvilla.com, a source revealed that Ajay Devgn will be returning in his role of cop Bajirao Singham for the third installment of the Singham franchise. A source close to the development said in the report that the film is among the most patriotic movies that Ajay and Shetty will collaborate on. The report mentioned that the film’s premise has Kashmir. As per the report, the source said that the film is expected to go on floors around September or October next year.

The source said, “It’s among the most patriotic films that Rohit and Ajay are collaborating on, as it is set against the backdrop of turbulent Indo-Pak relationship. The premise has Kashmir in its backdrop, and it’s a story special to all the stakeholders. Given the plot and vibe, the makers feel, it’s best to bring the film on the big screen during the Independence Day 2023 weekend.”

As per the report, the makers will make an official announcement on the same soon. The film will reportedly also see an extended cameo of Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar reprising in their roles as Sangram Bhalerao and Sooryavanshi.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn was last seen in Sooryavanshi and Bhuj: The Pride of India. The actor has other films in his kitty. Rohit Shetty has Cirkus with Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde in the pipeline.
