Ajay Devgn character in Akiv Ali’s next similar to his ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’?

Ajay Devgn is currently shooting for ‘Baadshaho‘ and unfortunately the film is suffering a lot of delays. Recently, Ajay’s mother Veena was diagnosed with chest congestion and water had accumulated in her lung and hence, had to be admitted in the hospital.

Following this, Ajay has been going back and forth from his shoot location and the hospital, because of which the movie is getting more delayed. But this hasn’t stopped the actor from singing more films. The actor recently signed debutant director Akiv Ali’s untitled, a modern-day romcom, in which he will be playing an uber-cool character.

But one hears that his character in the film is more on the lines of his character in ‘Dil Toh Bachcha hai Ji’. (Also Read: Ajay Devgn all set to star in a rom-com)

An industry insider informs, “Ajay needs to sign his films very carefully now. He is trying to be different, but actually repeating himself in his roles. Akiv’s film is very similar to Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’. The film has sub-plots and other characters who are all connected to the protagonist. The only difference is that while in ‘DTBHJ’ Ajay was a married man on the brink of divorce, in this film he plays a bachelor playing the field.”

Ajay sure has to buck up a little when it comes to his movies. His last film was ‘Shivaay’ which tanked at the box office.
