Ajay Devgn confirms the sequel of romantic-comedy De De Pyaar De

Bollywood Singham Ajay Devgn was seen in the recent release Runway 34. The movie which is directed by the actor also features Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. This is the second collaboration between Devgn and Rakul, the duo were earlier seen in the 2019 romantic comedy De De Pyar De. Here is some good news for Ajay Devgn fans he has confirmed the sequel of the hit flick.

Recently, while promoting Runway 34, Devgn confirmed to Bollywood Hungama that they are planning a sequel to De De Pyaar De. Talking about the sequel, Ajay said, “I think they are writing the script. Let’s see when”.

De De Pyaar De featured Ajay alongside Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu. Written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali, the film revolves around a middle-aged man Ashish (Ajay) who falls in love with a woman half his age, Ayesha (Rakul). He introduces her to his ex-wife (Tabu) and children. However, they fail to accept their love relationship.

The original film received mixed reviews, however, it did well at the box office grossing around Rs 100 crores worldwide.

On the work front, Ajay Devgn has many interesting projects in his pipeline. The Bhuj: The Pride of India actor will star next in the sports film, Maidaan, which is scheduled for worldwide release in theatres on 3 June 2022. He also has Thank God alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles, Drishyam 2 with Tabu and Shriya Saran, and Bholaa, which is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film, Kaithi.
