Ajay Devgn is ‘incredibly proud’ as wife Kajol gets invited to join the Oscar panel

Ajay Devgn expressed how proud he is of his wife, actor Kajol as she got an invitation to join the Oscar panel. The actor made a tweet on his Twitter and shared his thoughts. Earlier in the day, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the new list of artists and executives who are invited to join the Oscar organizer’s membership ranks.

The Academy invited 397 people in total, while Kajol is among the popular celebrities invited from India to join the Oscar panel. Taking to his Twitter, Ajay Devgn said he is ‘incredibly proud’ as his wife Kajol is invited to join the Oscar panel. The actor dropped a sweet congratulatory post for his beloved wife and mentioned he feels ecstatic.

On Twitter, Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Congratulations to @itsKajolD for being invited on #Oscars panel. Feeling ecstatic and incredibly proud. Also congrats to all the other invitees (sic).”

Meanwhile, apart from Kajol, filmmaker Reema Kagti, and actor Suriya are among the popular celebrities invited from India. Other artists like Sushmit Ghosh and Rintu Thomas have also received an invitation. Apart from them, Aditya Soon and PR and Marketing professional Sohini Sengupta are the other two Indians who have been invited to the Oscar panel. Celebrities Ariana DeBose, Billie Eilish, Jamie Dornan and Troy Kotsur are also amongst the 397 artists and executives invited.

Talking about the Academy, celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, AR Rahman, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Ali Fazal, Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, and Ekta Kapoor have been a part of it.

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the 2021 Netflix movie titled Tribhanga. She will be seen in the Revathi-directed family drama titled Salaam Venky.
