Ajay Devgn to work with ‘Baahubali’ filmmaker SS Rajamouli in ‘RRR’

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is all set to collaborate with ‘Baahubali’ director SS Rajamouli for his next ambitious project ‘RRR’. Notably, Ajay will have a crucial guest appearance in the film and his character will have an impact on the plot.

According to a report published in DNA, Ajay Devgn is doing a cameo appearance and it is an interesting character. He will shoot for it after ‘Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior’.

DNA also quoted a source close to the actor as saying, “Rajamouli was looking for a popular Indian superstar, who would also cater to the Hindi-speaking audience. Ajay has an extended guest role and his character will have an impact on the plot. He was the first choice and when the filmmaker approached him for the part, he heard it and gave a go-ahead.”

It is to be noted that ‘RRR’ marks the second collaboration between SS Rajamouli and Ajay Devgn. Earlier, the 49-year-old superstar had given the voice-overs for the Hindi version of his 2012 Telugu blockbuster ‘Eega’ titled ‘Makkhi’.

Currently, Ajay is busy promoting the upcoming film ‘Total Dhamaal’, which also stars Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and others. The film is set to hit the theatres on 22^nd February 2019.

On the other hand, Rajamouli’s last franchise ‘Baahubali’ had broken several records at the global box office and it turned out to be the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

And now, coming back to ‘RRR’, the film will feature Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles.
