Ajay Devgn has always been a part of various mass entertainers like ‘Golmaal’, ‘Singham’ and more, but when it comes to backing an off-beat film like ‘Parched’ that touches a social-issue, Ajay had absolutely no qualms in doing so. The film that has Tannishtha Chatterjee, Surveen Chawla, Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles has impressed one and all at various film festivals, and has managed to impress everyone in London as well.
Recently, the film was screened at London Indian Film Festival, wherein it had received a standing ovation. Narrating the same, Ajay was quoted saying to a leading daily, “We’ve got a standing ovation from audiences all across the globe and London was no different. It was gratifying to see viewers, irrespective of age or culture, laugh, cry and think alike after the screening.”
At the same event, Ajay had walked the red carpet with his daughter Nysa.
It is good to see that off-beat and content driven cinema is being encouraged by our Bollywood stars.
