Only yesterday, Ajay Devgn released the trailer of Runway 34 which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. The trailer garnered a good response from the fans and critics. But did you know that Ajay would have not made Runway 34 if Amitabh didn’t come on board? Well, during the Runway 34 trailer launch, Ajay who essays the role of the pilot said, “In this film, for Mr Bachchan’s role, if he wouldn’t have agreed, I don’t even know if I would be able to cast (any other actor). I don’t think I would be making the film.”
Ajay further added, “But this is the first time I worked with him in a full-fledged film (as a director). I’ve known him ever since I was a child. I would visit his set often. Later, I went on to work with him in nearly six films. To say anything about him would be cliched because I haven’t seen any other hardworking, professional actor. The energy and dedication he works with are amazing. Even if he is facing any problem, once he’s on set, he forgets everything. I feel inspired to do better work when I look at him.”
For the unversed, Ajay had even directed Big B a schedule of his film Major Saab earlier as their director Tinnu Anand fell ill back then. This time, the Singham actor has directed the 79-years-old actor in a full-fledged movie. Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan have worked in several movies together including Satyagraha, Khakee, Major Saab and more.
