Maidaan final trailer: Ajay Devgn shines as coach Syed Abdul Rahim; sets the stage for India’s high-stake football match – Watch

Ajay Devgn celebrates his 55th birthday today, and the makers of Maidaan are celebrating it by releasing the film’s sensational final trailer. The biographical sports drama is based on the journey of a true legend, Coach Syed Abdul Rahim.

The over two minutes long trailer begins with Runa Rahim (Priyamani) expressing concern as Syed Abdul Rahim (Ajay Devgn) is the only person who believes that the Indian football team can emerge victorious at the Asian Games. It also shows Rahim’s efforts to recruit and coach the Indian football team as well as his clashes with Gajraj Rao’s Parbhu Ghosh

Ajay Devgn shared the trailer on X (formerly Twitter) too. He shared the clip and captioned it, “Dil EK, Samaj EK, Soch EK! Witness the untold true story of S.A. Rahim and his #TeamIndia, aajao #Maidaan mein, in Cinemas 10th April!”

About Maidaan

Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film stars Ajay Devgn – as Syed Abdul Rahim, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh. Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla, the film’s screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah, respectively. The film’s music is by AR Rahman with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.

The biographical sports drama is set to release worldwide in theatres this Eid – April 10, 2024. It will also be screened in IMAX.
