Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De 2 set to release in May 2025; film to go on floors in June this year

Official Instagram handles of Luv Ranjan and T-series have released an official statement on the release date of Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De 2. The movie is slated to release on May 1, 2025. De De Pyaar De 2 starring Ajay Devgn is scheduled to release on Thursday, 1st May 2025 on the long weekend holiday for Maharashtra Day & International Workers’ Day.

There have been a lot of conjectures around the release date. However, the makers have now put an end to the speculations. Sharing an official note on Instagram, they wrote, “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by @anshul3112, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan & @gargankur82. Written by @tarun.j.85 & Luv Ranjan.”

Ajay Devgn is going to headline the sequel of De De Pyaar De but it is not confirmed if Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu will also be seen in the movie. The two played major roles in the first part. We wonder if they will be a part of the second part. Nevertheless, a few days back, a report stated Rakul Preet Singh had begun prepping for De De Pyaar De 2.

Rakul Preet Singh to start shooting for De De Pyaar De

According to the source, the shoot will begin soon with her co-star Ajay Devgn. An insider revealed “The couple Rakul and Jackky has dived back into the work ditching their holidays post their wedding. Rakul has already started prepping for her upcoming film and will soon start shooting for De de pyaar de from Mid May along with Ajay Devgn.”

Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film will go on floors in June 2024. DDPD2 is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar and Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan & Ankur Garg. The first part was written by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali who made his directorial debut.
