Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 release date announced; Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh join the cast

With its gripping narrative, Ajay Devgn starrer Raid captivated audiences’ hearts in 2018, becoming a standout success. Now, the makers are all set to bring another intriguing quest led by IRS officer, Amay Patnaik aka Ajay Devgn in Raid 2. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishna Kumar, Raid 2 will be released on 21st February 2025.

Along with Ajay Devgn, the film features Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. Ritesh Deshmukh as the antagonist, and Rajat Kapoor in a pivotal role. Extensively shot in Delhi and Lucknow, Raid 2 promises another adrenaline-filled ride. Raid 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar. Gulshan Kumar and T-Series present the film, a Panorama Studios production. The film is set to release theatrically on 21st February 2025.

Raj Kumar Gupta will also direct the second part with Ajay in the lead. Raid movie was released in 2018. It was based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. The first instalment had Ileana D’Cruz as Ajay’s wife whereas Saurabh Shukla was seen as antagonist. However, it is not clear if Vaani has replace Ileana or she will essay a different role in the movie.
