Ajay Devgn to team up again with ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi

Actor Ajay Devgn and ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first venture together was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. It was a uber-successful one and that can be highlighted as Ajay’s coming of age film. Later Ajay was also offered Sanjay’s magnum-opus Bajirao Mastani but Devgn was busy in his film Tanhaji so did not take it up. But it seems finally a reunion will happen in Gangubai Kathiawadi in which Ajay has agreed to the director’s request of doing a special cameo appearance.

According to the source, Ajay will be playing a real-life don in the film. Gangubai resumed shooting this year. The movie features Alia Bhatt in the titular role of a brothel head from Mumbai. The film went on floors in last November but the shoot was halted in March owing to the coronavirus induced lockdown. The film is now nearing completion with just one more month of work remaining.

The team intends to complete it by March. As per reports, Alia is training at present for two songs that are slated to be shot now. Currently, Ajay has two films Mayday which he is directing, The Tanhaji actor will also be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan after almost seven years and Indra Kumar’s Thank God which also has Sidharth Malhotra, Rakulpreet Singh.
