Ajay Devgn to produce a TV series, a biopic on Baba Ramdev?

Superstar Ajay Devgn has some interesting projects lined up in his kitty with films like ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Golmaal Again’. Apart from being a versatile performer, he has even tried his hands at direction and production. Reports suggest that he is all set to produce a TV series that would be a biopic on none other than yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

As per the reports, Ajay Devgn has joined hands with filmmaker Abhinav Shukla for the series. A source has been quoted in a leading tabloid as saying, “The television series, titled ‘Swami Baba Ramdev: The Untold Story’ revolves around Ramdev and his partner Balakrishna, tracing his journey from an anonymous common man to a national icon, a global figure, and a business mogul.” (Also Read: As Sanjay Dutt walks out of ‘Total Dhamaal’, Ajay Devgn joins the cast)

Talking about the casting, ‘A Death in the Gunj’ actor Vikrant Massey was approached to play the titular role. But, the actor soon walked out of the show citing some personal reasons.

Vikrant had even confirmed the same saying, “Yes I had started prep but have since opted out for personal reasons. I wish the team luck.”

Reportedly, research on the project is underway and the show is expected to go on floors by the end of year 2017.
