Akansha Ranjan Kapoor to share screen space with BFF Alia Bhatt in Jigra, reunites with Vasan Bala for fun cameo

Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, known for her standout performances, is all set to make a surprise cameo in National Award-winning director Vasan Bala’s upcoming action-packed prison drama Jigra. After their earlier collaborations on Monica, O My Darling and the Netflix anthology Ray, Akansha and Vasan are back together, and it looks like they had a blast! Vasan has often called Akansha one of his favorite actors, so it’s no surprise he wanted her on board for this project.

While Jigra stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in lead roles, Akansha’s appearance as an air hostess in the trailer has everyone talking. Her quirky character brings some light-hearted fun to the film, showing up just when things need a bit of a twist. Decked out in a sharp air hostess uniform, Akansha looks gorgeous, as always! Vasan Bala, known for adding unexpected and unconventional roles for his actors, called Akansha to shoot for just one day without even explaining the scene—because, why not? She simply showed up and had a great time!

Aside from Jigra, Akansha is gearing up for her South Indian film debut in MaayaOne opposite Sundeep Kishan. Plus, she’s got some exciting OTT projects in the works, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
