Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna‘s fun banter on social media always attract everyone’s attention. The couple once again tickled everyone’s funny bone with their latest social media post.

Akshay recently gifted Twinkle an earring, which she loved so much that she tagged it as the ‘Best Present Award’. Now you must be wondering what is so special about these earrings…well, its onion earrings and given the time that we are living in, it’s definitely one of the most expensive gift one can think of! But wait a minute, did Akshay just took a dig at the government?

Twinkle, sharing the story behind the unique gift that she received from her husband, took to Instagram and wrote, “My partner returns from performing at the Kapil Sharma show and says, ‘They were showing this to Kareena, I don’t think she was too impressed, but I knew you would enjoy them so I got them for you.’ Sometimes it’s the smallest things, the silliest things that can touch your heart. #onionearrings #bestpresentaward.”

Akshay alongwith his ‘Good Newwz’ co-stars appeared on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ to promote their film. On the show, Kareena Kapoor was shown this pair of onion-earrings but looks like she wasn’t impressed with it. So Akshay thought of gifting those earrings to his beloved wife Twinkle, who loves such silly gestures of her husband.

Coming back to the onions, their prices have skyrocketed and that has made them an expensive commodity. The price rise has affected everyone so naturally, the internet is inundated with hilarious memes and TikTok videos. Also given the fact that Akshay has never hidden his fondness for BJP, it does come as a surprise when he inadvertently ends up taking a dig at the ruling party.
