There were reports that Akshay Kumar was going to replace Salman Khan in the next season of ‘Bigg Boss’. However, that’s not happening. Akshay Kumar is currently busy with the promotions of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, and recently, at the promotional event, the actor denied the reports of replacing Salman.
When he was asked about doing the show, the actor said that he has not been approached by the channel for the show. Akshay has already hosted the show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ for the channel, so we were thinking that the actor might replace Salman.
Akshay and Salman were all set to collaborate for a film. While Salman was going to co-produce the film with Karan Johar, Akshay was going to star in the same. Well, Akki confirmed that the film is happening, but he also said that he has to figure out whether Salman is co-producing the movie or not. While talking about ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’, Akki said, “My movie is two and half hours of comedy, it is comedy. It is not a documentary, I’m not preaching you with this movie. It’s a complete entertainer, it’s only towards the end that the movie starts getting a bit serious and that’s it. Toilet humour is also in a different way and there is a real story connected here.”
The actor also revealed that the film was earlier offered to other actors. He said, “The writers brought the subject to me. I find it surprising that this script had been doing the rounds of the industry for over four years. It went to a lot of heroes, a lot of people but nobody picked it up. I liked it and I asked Neeraj Pandey with folded hands to give it to me. Earlier, the film was named ‘Sandaas Ek Prem Katha’ but later the title got changed.”
‘Eat Sleep Bollywood Repeat’ is his life Mantra. Dance is his first love and Rani Mukerji is his eternal crush. He is someone who loves being himself, and as for the ones who don’t agree, his reply? “Talk to my hand!”
