Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan & Ananya Panday starrer Kesari Chapter 2 to hit theatres on THIS date

Akshay Kumar is riding high on success, thanks to the impressive box office performance of Sky Force. Now, the filmmakers have officially announced the release date for Akshay Kumar’s next big film, Kesari Chapter 2. The much-anticipated film will hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

Interestingly, the film was initially titled Shankara, but the makers have now rebranded it as Kesari Chapter 2. Despite the name, the film’s storyline is entirely different from Kesari. Although it carries similar themes of bravery, patriotism, and inspiration. The decision to rename the film appears to be a strategic move to build curiosity and excitement among audiences.

A biopic, Kesari Chapter 2 will bring to life the extraordinary journey of Sir Chettur Sankaran Nair, a renowned lawyer and freedom fighter. Set against the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, the film will explore his bold fight for justice during British rule.

Produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film features an exciting ensemble cast. Alongside Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday will join the cast in pivotal roles.

The film draws inspiration from Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat’s book, The Case That Shook the Empire, which details Sankaran Nair’s relentless battle against British oppression. Director Karan Singh Tyagi is leading this historical drama, which promises to be a powerful cinematic experience.
