11th August ko hoga taandav! Akshay Kumar announces OMG 2 release date in a striking Shiv avatar

On Friday, Actor Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram and dropped an interesting poster of Oh My God – OMG 2 and we are impressed. In the poster, Akshay is seen giving a striking pose in a Shiva avatar. Completely immersed in bhashma (ashes), Akshay is seen wearing a dhoti and sporting long jatta (dreadlocks). What really grabbed our attention was the pose that he struck on the poster and that seems like a Tandav pose. The poster has surely piqued our interest and we can’t wait for it.

While sharing the poster with his fans, Akshay shared the poster captioning, “आ रहे हैं हम,आइयेगा आप भी. 11th August. In theatres. #OMG2” The movie also stars Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi this time. Though their roles have not been disclosed, Pankaj reportedly will play Paresh Rawal’s character in the movie. Apart from the interesting poster, the Samrat Prithviraj actor also announced the release date of OMG 2. The movie will hit the theatres on August 11, so, gear up to see Shiva’s Tandav.

Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Paresh Rawal who was a part of OMG 1 had a fallout with Akshay. However, refuting baseless rumours, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rawal revealed that he was not impressed with OMG 2’s storyline and the character.

Paresh told us, “Mujhe nahi lagi kahani achi. I don’t want to be a part of it. Mere liye koi bhi sequel banana, encash karna, mujhe as a character maza nahi aa raha toh. Mene bola mein nahi karunga. Kyu ki jo hum Hera Pheri mein kar chuke the, it was again (enchasing). Abhi toh Neeraj (Vora, producer) nahi raha par encash kyu? Ya toh aap sequel banate hai toh Munna Bhai MMBS jaisi banao. Ki ek leap late ho, quantum, Lage Raho Munna Bhai jaisi.”
