Akshay Kumar was recently applauded by film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi for his speed of work. Rathi praised Kumar for delivering a lot of movies in a less time, while doing so, he also took a dig at other actors for not planning better. This did not go down well with Abhishek Bachchan who called out Rathi for not being fair.
Rathi took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Amazing how @akshaykumar finishes off the shoot of an entire film in the amount of time that other stars take to learn a skill which they need to act out in a small scene or so! And more often than not, his film turns out to be the bigger hit! More actors need to ‘plan’ better!”
Abhishek hit back at Rathi and said, “Not fair! Each to their own. Different people are motivated by different things. And have a different pace at doing things.”
In a series of tweet, Abhishek explained his point of view to the film exhibitor. You can check out their conversation below:

Good work begets more work! Cannot be making films form just the sake of making films. In the long run you will end up doing more damage to the industry. It’s a bit of a catch 22.

Abhishek also said that bad film will just repel the handful of the audience who is daring to return to the cinemas. He wrote, “Yes agree, but in unprecedented times like these where people are slowly (and dare I say reluctantly) returning to the cinemas. Bad films could discourage even the few to just wait and see it digitally or on TV.”

Looks like Abhishek’s tweets made it sound to the netizens as though he was not happy with Kumar being praised for his work. One troll told Abhishek that he should work hard and become fast. But the ‘Paa’ actor replied that he has done more than most actors in the l0ckdown so the speed is not his issue.
Bachchan also clarified that he has no issue with Akshay Kumar and he is talking for all the actors. He wrote, “Mujhe koi problem nahin hai. Bas yeh keh raha tha ki. Alag log alag tareeke se kaam karte hain. Usse sahi ya galat kehna galat hoga.”
Check out how Abhishek shut down trolls who attacked him after his previous comments.

Not at all!!! You are sorely mistaken and misunderstanding and misrepresenting my tweet. Please don’t!! Read it again. And stop being so negative.

If you refer to his 1st tweet, he mockingly commented on how actors need to “plan” better and increase their output. I merely said people all work at different paces. That doesn’t make them right or wrong. Wasn’t looking for any appreciation. Was indulging in dialogue.
