The Bar President expressed dismay over the portrayal of legal professionals and judges, stating that it deviates from real-world scenarios and tarnishes the judiciary’s standing. He emphasised the need for filmmakers to consider these issues during production to uphold the dignity of the judiciary.
Chandrabhan Singh Rath remarked, “This decision has been taken after watching the first and second parts of Jolly LLB. It seems that the filmmakers, directors, and actors do not respect the dignity and honour of the judiciary of the country at all.”
He continued, “The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is underway in villages and areas around Ajmer, including the district magistrate’s office, which will continue for several days. Even during the shooting of this film, the image, respect, and dignity of the judiciary, including judges, do not seem to be taken seriously at all.”
Meanwhile, despite the legal controversy, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi continued to share updates from the film’s set, maintaining a light-hearted approach. Akshay’s social media post teased the audience about the storyline. He captioned it, “Ab original kaun aur duplicate kaun, yeh toh pata nahi. But this sure is going to be a jolly good ride !! Stay with us. Jai Mahakaal.”
The ‘Jolly LLB’ franchise, known for its courtroom drama and humour, debuted in 2013 with Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla in leading roles. The sequel in 2017 saw Akshay Kumar stepping into the protagonist’s shoes, with Huma Qureshi joining the cast.
As the legal battle unfolds off-screen, fans await the outcome while anticipating another entertaining instalment from the beloved franchise.
