‘Housefull 4’: Akshay Kumar has THIS to say about his bald look being compared to Ranveer Singh’s in ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Akshay Kumar is gearing up for his next ‘Housefull 4’. It is a light-hearted comedy in which Akshay’s bald look has become the talk of the town and some say that it is similar to that of Ranveer Singh’s look in ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

During a media interaction, when Akshay was asked about Ranveer’s look being similar to that of Bala’s in ‘Housefull 4’, he said, “I am not trying to ape anybody. Basically, when the character Bala was born, he had long hair. That’s when his dad kept his name as Rajkumar Bala. After 2 years, he had Shahi Mundan, and after that, there was no hair growth.”

Akshay added, “Woh ganja hi rehh gaya aur woh nafrat karta hai logo se jinn jinn ke baal ke (He remained bald ever since and hates people who have hair). He has also killed many people because of that”

Introducing his character, Akshay wrote on his social media, “Miliye 1419 ke Rajkumar Bala aur 2019 ke London return Harry se!”

Not only Akshay and Ranveer, but many celebs went bald for their characters. Stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor too donned bald look for their movies. Also, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sunny Singh are seen in bald avatars for their upcoming movies.

Directed and written by Farhad Samji, ‘Housefull 4’ is the fourth film in Akshay’s hit comedy franchise. It also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Chunky Panday and Kriti Kharbanda in pivotal roles. The film is slated to hit theatres this Diwali.
