While the Tanushree-Nana controversy has been gaining momentum day by day, actor Akshay Kumar filed a complaint with the cyber cell at the Bandra-Kurla Complex against a fake video. In the morphed video, Akshay was seen commenting on Tanushree Dutta’s accusations against Nana Patekar. The video went viral and the ‘Housefull 4’ actor has called it ‘fake’.
Akshay’s complaint states that the video was taken from a press conference he was part of and then it was edited in a way that looks as if he is talking against Tanushree. Akshay Kumar’s spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement given to Hindustan Times. “The narrative of the video was edited in a way that it looks like Kumar is expressing his views on the Dutta-Patekar controversy, which he never did.” said an officer.

Akshay found this video spreading like wildfire on the internet and he believed that this morphed video will harm his reputation. We tried to find the video online but couldn’t get it. Also, the officers who are probing into this case tried searching for it. “We tried to search the video on YouTube, but could not get it; probably it was blocked or removed. We have asked him to produce a copy of the video. The inquiry is going on,” said an officer.
While many B-town celebs including Twinkle Khanna have spoken on the Tanushree-Nana controversy and #MeeToo Movement, Akshay hasn’t spoken on this. He completed the shoot of ‘Housefull 4’ schedule in Jaisalmer.
