Akshay Kumar on Tuesday shared the first look of him as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from his upcoming Marathi movie, on Twitter. Ajay Devgn reacted to the same. Earlier in the day, Akshay Kumar on Twitter made a tweet, seeking blessings, ahead of beginning the shoot for his Marathi movie, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat.
Taking to his Twitter, the actor shared his first look as Shivaji Maharaj from the movie. Akshay Kumar made a striking appearance as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the video he shared on his social media handles. The actor gracefully walks in a darbar like setting.

Reacting to the first look of Akshay as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Ajay Devgn penned a long post. He showered praise on Kumar for his portrayal as Shivaji. The Drishyam 2 actor said he is looking forward to watch Ajay play the role of the warrior in the Marathi movie. Devgn mentioned that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is his ‘favourite Marathi hero’.
Ajay Devgn wrote, “Dear @akshaykumar, looking forward to seeing you essay the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Marathi film – वेडात मराठे वीर दौड़ले सात He is my favourite Maratha hero and I’m happy yet another film is being made saluting this great warrior.”
Earlier in the day, Khiladi Kumar shared a photo on his Instagram and said he is kick-starting the shooting of his Marathi movie, today. He called himself ‘lucky’ to play the role. The actor wrote, “Today I am starting the shooting of Marathi film ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Sat’ in which I am lucky to be able to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will do my best by taking inspiration from his life and blessing of Mother Jijau! Keep your blessings on us.”
