When Akshay was asked about the memes, he told ETimes, “Now that we are talking about it, he (John Abraham) is doing it”. He laughed and said that they tossed for the script and John won it.

John and Akshay share a great camaraderie and recently, they were seen together promoting their respective movies. On Independence Day, ‘Mission Mangal’ and ‘Batla House’ hit the screens. Both are based on true stories.
‘Mission Mangal’ is about ISRO’s Mars Orbiter Mission that was launched on November 5, 2013. Directed by Jagan Shakti, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. While ‘Batla House’ is based on the Batla House encounter aka Operation Batla House on September 19, 2008, in Delhi. John played a cop in the movie.
