Akshay Kumar exposed; claims of not having visited Canada for 7 years are a lie

Akshay Kumar may be someone who tries to avoid getting into controversies, but it seems that controversies are following him around everywhere these days. It all began with him doing national interest films which led to people talking of his political ambitions. While he has categorically denied having such ambitions, his recent interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi led to people questioning his nationality.

Akshay got trolled heavily when he wasn’t spotted anywhere during the national Lok Sabha elections, which happened in Mumbai on April 29. He even refrained from answering media questions on the same while attending an event. But soon afterwards, he took to social media to share a long message clarifying that he was indeed a Canadian citizen. However, he mentioned that he hadn’t visited Canada in the last 7 years.

Now it was here that the superstar did a mistake. He indeed had visited Canada just 5 years back. A twitter user dug deep and exposed the lie that Akshay tried to say. Here’s what the twitter user wrote, “This man @akshaykumar is the most shameless compulsive lier i have ever seen. don’t know how people idolise this scumbag. ;3 (sic).” Here are the proofs that the twitter user furnished:

Indeed, it seems true that Akki visited Cananda in 2014.

The user posted Mika Singh’s tweet where he mentions about a “wonderful party” in Toronto, Canada which was also attended by Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Also, the user provided screenshots of articles which proved that Akki was spotted at Tina Varmani’s wedding in Canada in 2014.
