Akshay Kumar gets emotional as he remembers his late mother during Prithviraj trailer launch

Akshay Kumar remembered his late mother, Aruna Bhatia, at the trailer launch of the movie, Prithviraj. At the event, the actor spoke about how his late mother would be proud of the character he plays in Prithviraj. He plays the character of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan in the upcoming movie. The trailer of Prithviraj was released by its makers, today, on May 9. Earlier, Akshay had shared a video of him on his Instagram and announced the trailer release date.

At the mega trailer launch event, Akshay Kumar spoke about the movie, Prithviraj, at length. He also got teary-eyed while remembering his late mother. Akshay mentioned he wished his mother could watch him play the role of the brave Samrat.

The Prithviraj actor said, “Prithviraj is an educational film. It is something everyone should learn and know about. I am very proud to be associated with the film and I wish my mother would be around to see me playing this. She would be so proud.”

Akshay added, “I just got myself to the sets and followed the director.”

Meanwhile, the movie stars Akshay, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, and Manushi Chillar in key roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on June 3. The Akshay starrer is directed by Chandraprakash Diwedi and produced by Yash Raj Films.
