Akshay Kumar: I have more releases than there are festivals in India

Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar‘s recent release ‘Brothers’ has become the second highest grosser after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The ‘Gabbar is Back’ actor is known not only for his stunts but also for his comic timing.

Akshay Kumar usually has more than one or two releases in a year. he also does not have any particular favorite release slot too. Salman Khan has Eid, Shah Rukh Khan has Diwali and Aamir Khan has Christmas but Akshay’s films release at any particular time.

On not having any particular date slot for his movie release like his contemporaries, Akshay said, “To each his own. I have more releases than the festivals in India. So may be the reason. I don’t take the call, my distributors take the call. I would love for my film to come on a festive weekend. Because the business doubles. Let’s be honest, the film earns more because of the festival.”
