Raja Krishna Menon’s ‘Airlift’ starring Akshay Kumar is set to release on the 15th of January. With a strong script and power-packed performance, the makers are keeping their fingers crossed. The film is based on the historical evacuation of Kuwait Evacuation.
During the Kuwait Evacuation, an Indian businessman undertook an operation of evacuation to rescue numerous Indians who were stranded there, during the Gulf War. Akshay Kumar’s character in the film is based on this real life hero, who does exist; though with a different name and not Ranjit Katyal (Akshay Kumar’s on-screen name). The ‘Baby’ actor said he would love to meet the real person and interact with him.
‘Airlift’ also stars Nimrat kaur as the female lead.
