‘Kesari’: Akshay Kumar shares a BTS video of the war drama

Akshay Kumar who has been giving some major back to back hits will soon be seen in a period war drama ‘Kesari’. The movie that is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production is based on the Battle of Saragarhi, one of the bravest battles fought by Indian soldiers.

‘Kesari’ is based on the story of a battle fought by 21 Sikh soldiers against 10,000 Afghan invaders to defend their honour.

Earlier Akshay while talking about being a part of this film had said, “I have had one of the best times doing the action sequences for ‘Kesari’ because they were so raw. It was completely out of the world. The very premise of the film is something which swells my chest with pride.”

He further added that the war drama also touches upon the never give up attitude that Sikhs have.

‘Kesari’ has Akshay essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. This Anurag Singh directorial has actress Parineeti Chopra essaying the role of Akshay’s love interest. The war drama is set to release on March 21, 2019.
