Akshay Kumar might not attend the trailer launch of ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’?

Akshay Kumar is all set to start the promotions of his next release titled ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha‘. Like his every upcoming project, this film is also much anticipated for various reasons, especially for its theme and fresh onscreen pairing of Akshay with Bhumi Pednekar. The makers have recently announced that the film’s trailer will be launched on June 11 and certainly the fans and moviegoers are eagerly looking forward to see it. But reports suggest that Akshay might not be able to attend this launch and will have to skip it.

The reason behind this is that he might not be in town when the trailer will be launched. If you remember, a few days ago he (Akshay) had shared a Boomerang with the caption, “All zipped and packed up ? #HolidayTime.” [sic] And further, he was spotted with his son Aarav Kumar Bhatia at airport. Further, it has been heard that the actor will be joining his wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara in London to celebrate his mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia’s 60th birthday which is on June 8. Then the whole family will be travelling to Paris, Italy and other parts of Europe which might not see Akshay’s arrival back in Mumbai before June 11.

Even sources have confirmed the news that he won’t be in the country during the release of the trailer.

Well, knowing about Akshay’s sheer commitment towards work, we have to wait and watch now that whether these reports turn out to be true or not.

‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and it is a satirical comic take on the unhygienic practices in rural parts of India also carrying some references to PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachch Bharat’ campaign.

The film is slated to release on August 11, 2017, and will be clashing with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s untitled project helmed by Imtiaz Ali.
