The wait has finally come to an end. OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, is set to hit theaters this weekend. The movie went through a series of ups and downs, as the Indian Censor Board (CBFC) requested the removal of certain scenes. There were also reports of a postponement of the release. However, despite all the challenges, the Akshay Kumar starrer is ready to grace the screens. And our excitement is at its peak. On the other hand, recent reports indicate that OMG 2 has received censor certification for viewing by the 12+ age group. But only in the UAE and Oman, with no cuts.
Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 receives a 12+ certification and no cuts in UAE & Oman
Talking to Hindustan Time, Ajit Andhare, COO, of Viacom 18 motion pictures shared the happy news. He said, “Happy to share that censor authorities in Oman have cleared our film OMG 2 in the 12+ category without any cuts. The film has also been cleared for exhibition by the censor authority in the UAE, while Quebec, Canada has cleared it in the General category without cuts.” However, in India, the movie has been rated as ‘Adults Only’.
Talking about the storyline of OMG 2, the story revolves around the promotion of sex education among adolescents in India. It also highlights the lack of awareness. While Pankaj Tripathi plays a devotee of Lord Shiva, Akshay is seen as the messenger of the Lord. On the other hand, it is a compelling courtroom drama which will highlight the education system in India.
