Akshay Kumar- Prabhu Dheva team up for ‘Rowdy Rathore 2’

The sequel for 2012 blockbuster ‘Rowdy Rathore’ is all set to be made. Producers Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabina Khan have locked the script for the sequel. Just like the prequel, Prabhu Dheva and Akshay Kumar will be directing and acting in the sequel.

‘Rowdy Rathore 2’ will go on floors in June 2015. The heroine for the film has not been selected yet. Sonakshi was the heroine for the prequel.

Akshay will be working with Prabhu Dheva for the third time. They recently collaborated for ‘Singh is Bling’, which is slated to release on July 31.

‘Rowdy Rathore’ was released on June 1, 2012. The film collected around Rs 131.25 crores in India, which was the third highest grosser of 2012. It was remake of Telugu blockbuster ‘Vikramakudu’. ‘Rowdy Rathore’ is still the highest grossing film of Akshay Kumar and Prabhu Dheva.
