Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj to clash with Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey this Diwali

Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar’s Prithviraj has got a release date. The movie is having a Diwali release. The period drama will release on November 5, 2021. Also, on the same date, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey is also hitting the screens. So, in that case, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor’s movies will face a clash at the box-office. In January this year, Shahid took to social media to announce that the film is scheduled to hit the theatres on November 5. He also shared an unseen still from the sports-drama while announcing the release date. Jersey is a Hindi remake of a Telugu blockbuster with the same name. The Hindi version is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who has also directed the Telugu version. Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur opposite Shahid Kapoor.

Talking about Prithviraj, Akshay is playing the role of the warrior, Prithviraj Chauhan. Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar will be playing the role of Sanyogita. With Prithviraj, she is making her big-screen debut.

Today, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has made the big announcement by sharing the release dates of five big movies including Prithviraj. Apart from this, release dates of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Bunty Aur Babli 2 are also announced.

Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood. The period drama is helmed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
