Akshay Kumar in riding high on the success of his latest release ‘Jolly LL.B 2’, a court room comedy-drama, and now that the film has already hit the theatres, Akshay is back to shooting for his next. According to reports, the actor has already arrived in Bhopal to commence the shoot of Shree Narayan Singh’s directorial debut ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’.
Also starring Bhumi Pednekar, who was last seen in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, the film revolves around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan, with cleanliness being the central theme of the plot. It was last year in November that the film went on floors, but Akshay had to take a break from it after completing the first schedule to promote ‘Jolly LL.B 2’. Akshay had posted a selfie with co-star Bhumi from the sets of the film on the first day of the shoot. The first schedule of the film was wrapped up in Nandgaon, a small town in Mathura district.
Jointly produced by Neeraj Pandey and Vikram Malhotra, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is expected to release later this year. This will be Neeraj and Akshay’s fourth collaboration after delivering hit movies like ‘Baby’, ‘Special 26’ and ‘Rustom’ in the past.
The starcast of the film also included Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in the leads.
