Akshay Kumar REVEALS whether son Aarav will make his Bollywood debut

Akshay Kumar is one of the biggest superstars in the Hindi film industry today. The legacy that he has built for himself will be etched in the history of Indian cinema forever. So, it is quite obvious that people would want to know if his own offspring would follow that legacy. And recently, Akshay Kumar revealed whether his son will enter Bollywood or not.

Akshay Kumar reveals son Aarav Kumar’s Bollywood plans

During a recent event for Aaj Tak, ahead of the release of Selfiee, Akshay was put forward the question of Aarav’s Bollywood plans. Reacting to those, the superstar said, “Usko shauq nahi hai (He is not interested).” When it was asked whether he wants his son to carry forward his legacy in acting, Akshay said, “Mai bas chahta hu ke wo khush rahe (I just want my son to be happy).”

Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna had their son Aarav born in 2002. The young lad has been in the media eye for a long time, and there is curiosity around his career plans. Akshay and Twinkle also have a daughter named Nitara.

Akshay starrer Selfiee releases February 24

On the work front, Akshay has the release of his latest film Selfiee this Friday. The film features him as a superstar, just like in real life, who goes head-to-head with an RTO officer played by Emraan Hashmi for his driving licence renewal. It also features Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha and is directed by Raj Mehta. The film is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Driving Licence, which featured Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. The South star has turned a Hindi film producer with Selfiee.

Akshay’s upcoming projects

Apart from Selfiee, Akshay has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan with Tiger Shroff. He will also be seen in Oh My God 2 with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. Following that, he has Capsule Gill. He recently also began the shoot for Hera Pheri 3 with Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal. Other than that, he will play Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a Marathi film and will also feature in Soorarai Pottru remake with Radhika Madan.
