Akshay Kumar says ‘this is a very tough hour for me’ after his mother Aruna Bhatia hospitalised

On Monday, actor Akshay Kumar rushed back to Mumbai from London to be with his ailing mother Aruna Bhatia who was hospitalised in Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital. Reportedly, his mother was admitted to ICU after her health condition deteriorated. Akshay who was shooting his forthcoming film, Cinderella in London for the past few weeks, returned home, leaving the shoot midway. Now, the actor took to his Instagram account to thank his fans and followers for sending across wishes for his mother.

He is touched to see netizens concern on social media and mentioned that every single prayer for her mother would be of great help. He wrote, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.” As soon as he posted the post, his fans started pouring in ‘speedy recovery’ and ‘get well soon’ messages on social media. 

A fan commented, “Our prayers with you sir May she recover soon Allah is with her and is listening to our prayers” while another one wrote, “Take care of your mother sir .. we are always praying for you and your family .. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay Kumar’s hands are full of some fascinating films that piquing everyone’s interest. Films like Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Prithviraj, Ram Setu, Cinderella, Atrangi Re are in the pipeline. His Bell Bottom became the first film to hit the big screens post lockdown restrictions were relaxed. However, his Sooryavanshi with Katrina Kaif which was supposed to release in March 2020 is yet to release in the theatres.
