The women’s cricket team of India, last night, united the country by a string of intense emotions, as they battled it out with England at the final of BCCI Women’s World Cup. They lost the match, but won every bit our admiration and love. Just like you and me, B-town was cheering for the ladies in blue. Actor Akshay Kumar, who was in Leeds, took a train to London to catch a train to watch the match. Little did he know what was about to follow!
An enthusiastic Akshay held the national flag while spreading cheer for the team, but held it wrong. As a result, the flag’s saffron side which was to be on top, went to bottom and the green side came up. (Also Read: Pay attention, Akshay Kumar has a plea to all his fans)
This irked hell lot of people, resulting in the actor being bashed from all sides on social media.
Later at night, the actor took to Twitter to apologise for the unintentional mistake and also informed his followers that the post was deleted.
