Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ co-star Kartika Sahoo sells vegetables to stay afloat amidst Covid-19 crisis

The pandemic has brought the entire world to a staggering halt. With everyone struggling to sustain themselves financially, the hardest hit by the pandemic is daily wagers. Also, there are several actors who are facing a financial crisis amidst the pandemic.

A few days back we came across reports of Javed Hyder selling vegetables which later turned out to be false, now reports of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ co-star Kartika Sahoo selling vegetables to sustain himself and his family have surfaced. Read on to know the deets.

According to an ANI report, Kartika, who hails from Odisha, is forced to sell vegetables amidst the financial crisis caused by the pandemic. Sharing his story with the agency, Sahoo revealed that he came to Mumbai at a tender age of 17. For several years he worked as a bodyguard for celebs like Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar.

Later he moved on to performing action sequences in many movies and one of them being Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’. Sahoo has a fight sequence in this Akshay and Katrina Kaif starrer.

After completing this film, Sahoo returned to his hometown in Odisha just before the nationwide lockdown was announced. With medical emergency in the family and no work amidst the lockdown, Kartika ultimately started selling vegetables to support his family in these testing times. We hope his ‘Sooryavanshi’ team offers him some monetary help after learning his plight.
