Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom to have an OTT release? Pooja Entertainment rubbishes reports

Due to COVID 19 crisis in India, theatres and multiplexes are yet again seeing a complete shutdown. Amid this, filmmakers are in a dilemma over the release of their respective films. While Salman Khan starrer Radhe will be releasing digitally, there were talks that Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom might also release on digital platforms for viewing. It was slated to release in theatres on May 28. However, a recent report in Bollywood Hungama said hinted that Bell Bottom might release on the OTT platform itself and the modalities of the same are being worked out.

However, Pooja Entertainment has issued a statement quashing the report of Bell Bottom releasing on OTT platform. The statement read, “Pooja Entertainment would like to quash all speculation in some sections of the media regarding the release of our upcoming film “Bellbottom”. Any announcement regarding the impending release of the film will be made by Pooja Entertainment at the opportune time. Nobody other than Pooja Entertainment has the mandate to make any statements with regards to any development with the film. We would like to request the media to support us as you always have and refrain from publishing any information that is not officially communicated by us. Stay safe and mask up. Meanwhile, Films like Sadak, Coolie No. 1, Laxmii among others have released on OTT giants last year. This year too due to the second wave of the pandemic, the release dates of many movies like Chehre, Satyameva Jayate 2, Sooryavanshi, and others are postponed. The makers of these movies want to have a theatrical release of their movies.
