Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Kesari’ gets its leading lady finally!

Just some days ago, actor Akshay Kumar shared his first look from his upcoming period flick ‘Kesari’. He looked every bit the Sardar in the picture.

Now, producer of the movie, Karan Johar has revealed the leading lady and it’s none other than Parineeti Chopra. Sharing the news, he wrote on his Twitter page, “The lead actress in #KESARI is ……..PARINEETI CHOPRA! @ParineetiChopra”

How excited are you to see Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra teaming up for the first time? Well, we sure are! Now, talking further about the movie, it is based on the legendary Battle of Saragarhi. Last year, the movie was announced by Karan Johar with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. But, Khan later opted out of the movie. However, the makers went ahead with the movie and the final announcement was done last year in October. Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Kesari’ is slated to release during Holi 2019.
