Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 is receiving rave reviews ever since its release. The film is the spiritual sequel to the 2012 super hit movie Oh My God. It was released in theatres on 11 August, alongside Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2. But looks like positive reviews and word-of-mouth is working well for the movie which is helping it to grow. In its first weekend, the film collected a whopping Rs 43 crore.

Apart from ruling the box office, Akshay Kumar starrer has become one of the highest-rated films on rotten tomatoes. It has garnered a 92 percent rating and trumped films like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Talvar, Kahaani, Haider & Guru.

About the film
The film is directed by Amit Rai and stars Pankaj Tripathi as Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a devoted Shiva devotee. He sues the educational system for deceiving his child. Akshay is playing the role of messenger of Lord Shiva, while Yami Gautam is seen as an attorney. The film highlights the importance of the inclusion of sex education in the school curriculum.
