Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 uncensored version to release on OTT this week

Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, and Pankaj Tripathi starrer social comedy drama OMG 2 received rave response from the audience. The film highlighted the sensitive topic of inclusion of sex-education in school curriculum. However, it faced a lot of troubles before its release due to its subject and was given A certification with 27 modifications. Despite A certification, the film had successful run at the box office. Now OMG 2 is all set for OTT release.

OMG 2 will stream on OTT giant Netflix from 8^th October 2023. While talking about the OTT release of OMG 2, Akshay Kumar said in a statement, “We are thrilled by the enthusiastic reception OMG 2 has received in theatres! This story deserves to travel far and beyond borders, and we are confident that with Netflix, we will be able to take the film to entertainment lovers around the world.”

OMG 2 uncut version to have an OTT release?

Since the film underwent modification, director Amit Rai in an interview said that the uncut/uncensored version of the film will release on OTT. He stated, “We have decided that we will show the original film (on streaming), a film that the censor never wanted people to see, but… The public has seen the film and given their verdict. If the censor board doesn’t understand it, what do we say?”

About OMG 2

The film is the spiritual sequel to the 2012 super hit movie Oh My God. It was released in theatres on 11 August, alongside Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2. Despite clash, both the film managed to enter 100 crore club. Infact, OMG 2 emerged as fourth highest grossing A rated film.
