Akshay Kumar takes “off to the next” as he wraps Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan; feels ‘a bittersweet tinge of sadness’

Actor Akshay Kumar is all set to take off to his next film as he was wrapped up filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan last night. As the journey of this film comes to an end, he feels that there’s ‘a bittersweet tinge of sadness’ in this. Sharing the update about the film in his latest Instagram post, he mentioned that they laughed like there’s no tomorrow throughout the shoot of the film. Along with the update, he even shared a picture where he is seen in his character while having a good laugh with Aanand.

Sharing a candid picture with the director of the film, Akshay captioned the picture with, “Here’s to all I and @aanandlrai did throughout the shoot of #RakshaBandhan – laugh like there’s no tomorrow! Ironically, as we wrapped the film last night, there was a bittersweet tinge of sadness. Off to the next. New day, new roller coaster.” Considering the Sooryavanshi actor has plenty of movies in his pipeline, we wonder which movie he is all set to shoot now as he as Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Ram Setu.

Even Rai shared a heartwarming picture with Akki where he is seen giving him a right hug as they wrapped the shoot of the film. The director wrote, “It’s a wrap. Special film Special bond @akshaykumar!!!! A journey well shared is a journey well enjoyed. #rakshabandhan”

Meanwhile, after it was announced that the movie theatres are set to reopen from October 22 onwards, filmmakers started announcing the movie release dates. Among many, Raksha Bandhan is scheduled to release on August 11 next year, clashing with Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan’s Adipurush.

Akshay Kumar will be reuniting with his Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-star Bhumi Pednekar in Raksha Bandhan.
