Akshay Kumar thanks Union minister Kiren Rijiju for his support in the Canadian citizenship row

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is currently facing a lot of pressure over his Canadian citizenship. The ‘Housefull’ actor has been facing a barrage of abuse from trolls and certain sections of people for not being patriotic enough. Now, Akki has received support from none other than Union minister and BJP MP Kiren Rijiju. Yes, you have read it absolutely right!

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had extended his support through a Twitter post. In response to Rijiju’s post, the national-award-winning actor wrote, “Thank you so much @KirenRijiju Sir, and I apologise for the delayed response. I am grateful for your kind words. Please be assured, my commitment to #BharatKeVeer and to the Indian armed forces would remain steady, no matter what.”

Kiren Rijiju has hit the nail on the head as Akshay Kumar doesn’t need a certificate from anyone regarding his patriotism. Akshay loves India dearly and has made Rs 1 crore donation to Cyclone Fani victims in Odisha.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay has started shooting for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’.
