Akshay Kumar to head to Switzerland to celebrate his 50th birthday?

On September 9, Akshay Kumar will clock 50. Golden jubilee is always special and our Bollywood stars are known to celebrate theirs with a grand bash. We remember how Salman had thrown a lavish bash to celebrate his 50th birthday. But with Akki, he seems to keep it a low-key affair. Apparently he does not want to make it grand, but his little daughter Nitara wants to do something special on his birthday.

As per reports, Nitara has expressed her wish to see snow on his birthday and hence, the Kumar family is planning to fly off to Switzerland for a four-day vacation. Twinkle, Akshay, Nitara and Aarav are expected to leave for Switzerland soon. Akshay’s last film ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ did a fabulous business at the box office and he has all the reasons to enjoy himself.

Not just this, if reports are to be believed then a small pooja too has been organised at his residence for his birthday. Akshay’s mother Arun Bhatia, sister Alka, mother-in-law Dimple Kapadia and sister-in-law Rinke Khanna Saran are expected to be a part of this pooja.

On the work front, Akshay has a lot of films in his kitty, namely ‘padman’, ‘Gold’, ‘Moghul’, ‘2.0’, and few more. Also, he apparently would be featuring in a film called ‘Kesar’ which is based on ‘Battle of Saragarhi’. It is being produced by Karan Johar. It is the same film that was being co-produced by Salman Khan but then as he learnt that Ajay Devgn too is making a film on the same subject, he backed out.
