Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia demise: Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Sajid Khan, R Balki and more attend the funeral

Actor Akshay Kumar’s mother Aruna Bhatia passed away on September 8 after keeping unwell for the past few days. On Wednesday, Akshay took to his Twitter handle and shared that his mother has ‘peacefully passed away’ while reuniting with his father. After the message broke out, celebs and his fans started pouring in condolence messages for him and his family on social media. Now, the funeral is reportedly taking place in Vile Parle where stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Rohit Shetty, Sajid Khan, Ramesh Taurani, R Balki and more have reached the crematorium to pay their last rites for Akshay’s mother and to console their friend. 

Keeping the current situation in mind, everyone were spotted with their face masks. Even Kumar’s family members were spotted at the crematorium. After his mother’s demise, Akshay shared a note saying that his mother for his core and he feels an unbearable pain. He wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti”

Soon several stars like Ajay Devgn, Nimrat Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Dia Mirza, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Hansal Mehta and more have taken to their social media and penned heartfelt homages for Aruna Bhatia.

Meanwhile, only yesterday, Akshay had shared a note on his Instagram saying that he is touched to see netizens concern over his ailing mother. However, today, much to everyone’s dismay informed about her demise. 

The Sooryavanshi actor was shooting for his upcoming film, Cinderella in London. After learning about his mother’s health, he returned to Mumbai immediately, leaving his shoot midway.
