Akshay Kumar’s ‘Singh is Bling’ faces Akal Takht’s wrath

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar has donned the garb of a Sardar once again. The Khiladi will be seen depicting the role of Raftaar Singh in upcoming film Singh is Bling. Akshay Kumar’s comic role has been appreciated by many in the trailer that was recently released by the makers. But the actor has gained the wrath of the Akal Takht.

Akal Takht chief Gyani Gurbachan Singh said, “The producer and director of the film has made a big mistake by equating the Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) with chicken and whisky. We have also received a number of complaints about the posters of the film. They have misused Kada (iron bangle) in the film which is an important Sikh religious symbol.”

Gyani Gurbachan Singh said, “The films dialogues, misrepresentation of Sikh religious places and religious symbols tantamount to sacrilege of Sikh religion. The matter will be discussed in the meeting of the five priests (Singh Sahiban). Direction will also be issued to the SGPC to take legal action against the film producer-director for insulting Sikh religion.”
